Facing History and Ourselves is a global education non-profit organization that challenges teachers and students to use lessons of history to stand up to bigotry and hate.

At Facing History & Ourselves we combine professional development with engaging curricular resources to help teachers, schools and districts build dynamic classroom experiences where students can reach their full potential. Our audience engagement and analytics work focuses on those we serve, but also those who support our work–our donors and funders. This new Audience Analyst position will be key in developing audience and campaign measurement strategies and reporting KPIs across all engagement activities.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating data-driven cross-channel insights to fuel our audience engagement strategy and maximize the efficacy of our marketing programs, including paid search, email marketing, paid social, and other channels.

Successful candidates will have experience and understanding of the marketing funnel and digital marketing strategies and platforms.

This position will work on a team with a Data Analyst, reporting to the Senior Director of Audience Engagement & Analytics on the broader Marketing and Communications team. They will also work collaboratively with our Digital Operations and CRM (Customer Relationship Management platform) teams, developing an understanding of our CRM and web platforms to implement source, conversion, and touchpoint tracking across all platforms.

We are looking for a data storyteller who can synthesize analyses on web, marketing and other engagement activities to translate data into meaningful narratives to help the organization better understand behavior and campaign performance.

      Key responsibilities:

      • Collect, clean, and analyze data from various databases, platforms, and tools.

      • Dig into critical engagement metrics to understand why they are moving up or down – and the implications and next steps

      • Participate in analytics reviews and assist with broader analytics projects across the organization.

      • Partner with another Data Analyst in analysis reviews and quality assurance processes.
